Other sources.

Data packets exchanged with the server during communication are intercepted and manipulated before they reach their destination.

That's not how it worked because you cant change an item ID to a different item id if you did that the server would refuse the information and you'd get cut off immediatly. Explaintion why? because say panda is item #123 and book is item #324 they wont match up when they hit home base. They removed a program from a file (which I wont name) that deletes the original item when its being customized and replaces it with a new one. This way when the server checks it, you already had the item before so it checks out o.k. it sees item #123 and its item #123 it customizes item #123 so it becomes item #123+4 and when it checks your info it sees u have item #123 and item #123+4 and goes ok good to go. Pretty much the flaw was the server doesn't have a brain and if it sees that in your data you owned the item when your (game client) was supposed to delete it but didn't it doesn't notice because its not deleted on the server side only your side and it passes through, that way you could say dedicate a mini but you get to keep the original unded and just randomly recieve a dedicated one, then u xfer ur unded to a different account and repeat over and over till you have the original unded and like 13 new dedicated ones BUT you don't have to do it this way either any program that is ran on you system side instead of server side can have the program removed so you could customize a glob of ecto say if you removed the Item ID list from the weapon customizer because all of these run system side and not server side. But I think I should just stop talking about this because I believe its against the rules ? you get the idea though... oh one last thing how do you change customized to dedicated? easy when the item has "customized" on it doesn't stop the prevention of dedication in HoM and u cant sell say a panda customized... people would go wtf man gtfo go away dupe cracker and ud be like dang D: why cant i sell my duped panda =,(? sooo they go oh yea customize doesnt = ded? Because Dedication is specifically designed for minis and customization is specifically designed for 1 character to weild you dont weild pandas and slap people with them so it would never matter the only thing that matters is when you try to trade it and the pop up window goes holy shiz nikka this panda be custo and screws the whole scam up. So they go welll lets just dedicate it that way they can sell the product without people noticing BUT it may say dedicated on the mini but if you read it in the pop up after accepting in the trade window itll say customized thats why Anet wants you to read before buying. But remember not all of them were done doing the customizer so not all of them will say customized this is also why Arena net knows you can't always be sure ur buying an ok product and if you don't know the person or where it came from don't buy it. well hope this sheds some light SOOOOO have fun don't dupe !

Then you're naive. It has happened before and not just in GW. The funds from buying items from dupers/scammers goes directly to other players that buy those funds from them with real money and doing many too good to be true trades could end up you as being labeled and accomplice. I wouldn't risk it, I'll buy things at "normal" prices, and take deals where I can find them.. but ridiculously cheap rare items meh I won't even bother, I don't trust that. It's not worth a ban.

AAAAAARRRRRGGHHHHHH PLEASE USE PARAGRAPHS!!!. It is extremely annoying and difficult to read these walls of text with no pause between the separate parts of your post.

Im not going to hold against you that your writing style is terrible or your run on sentences are massssssssively running on and on and on because your primary language might not be English... but still try to write as you really would like to read yourself and not trying to put 2 sides of a longer conversation into one sentence. If you need to take a very deep breath in the middle of a sentence or risk unconciousness because you are waiting for a break in the flow... then it is most likely a run on sentence and a full stop is waaaay overdue.

Ive tried to separate it a little below without changing any of your wording so that it is a littel easier on the eyes.
